Perhaps one of your most vivid creations, there is no doubt that your technique with colored pencils is OUTSTANDING. The shading of the water, combined with the vividness of the fish's colors provide an excellent display of craftsmanship.
One thing that stood out the most was the water bubble. You have managed to capture both the light source displayed on the top left, as well as the colours created by the ray of light.
The message, if there is a message in this work is a tad bit unclear though. Just a little. What was clear was that this was a very unique fish swimming happily through the seas.
Netherless, this was a true masterpiece, both in the form of the fish and the blending of the colours. This artwork shows us the true potential of colour pencils, how it can be used to create great pieces.
omg!!! *blushing* This is like the most awesomeness ever! Oh my! I am like so honored and ...speechless >.<" Thank you so so so much! aaah hahah Bless you gurl! ^________^
not too scary but mysterious. and its like i feel like a story, that it gets made fun of in the ocean amongst other fishes and feared but when it hides a big secret. it was born this way. beautiful but seen differently. and it has its own journey...and the story goes on...this is what i see. other than what i see >.<" lols, amm the visuals is a WOW. and details is sooo detailed, gosh! i love it! each shadowing and tints adds to the impact of its not JUST a fish! it has life and character! and the background, is is pastel crayons? or somthing, because its hard to imagine in my mind..thats its paint. but anyhow, MARVELOOOOOOOUS!!!
Well picture a beauty that God created and the creation knows only how special, beautiful, and colorful it is (the fish) and it wanders the ocean meeting other fishies and learning a lesson from each fishy. But what it does not realize is WHY the bullying? “ Cant they see how beautiful I am?? I am much more colorful! I am nicer than they!” All these thoughts, but at my surprise, I sense that this doesn’t break the fish. In its eyes, I could see a different paradigm of a world seen so differently. And I felt the same way in life. People bully the special. People mock the differences in others that they RARELY see. Same with this fish. And its colors and scales and colors on the face display a sense of “I don’t think I am ugly” usually with bullied children they begin to doubt themselves and create self hatred! BUT that’s the beauty of this masterpiece. I feel you have created a depiction in this painting that the fishy listens and moves on. It accepts, loves, and believes that God has created it beautiful. And nothing can change that. So when you said looks pretty scary. I could for a split second see it. But then another feeling came knocking on my amygdalae and it was a sense of “knowing what life is about” like I said earlier, it knows where its going. It keeps swimming and living and so satisfied. And the soft pastel colors of bubbles and soft blurred props in the background…I felt at peace, to be honest. I SO could picture this fish. I feel with all the misinterpretation it gets, it feels so beautiful inside. And became friends with nature, with God, with the delicacy of the way you created the bubbles. It’s like wherever it goes, it makes friends with those who are so minute but could never judge.. Also, I noticed the seaweed on the farthest left under a blurred bubble (if that is a seaweed ) well I saw it as so, and I felt the very fact it is moving in a kind way like a respectful gesture to wave the fish…Furthermore, the bubbles that are near the fish reflects the fish’s colors and its like, for me, a warm welcoming to greet the fish as it passes them.
^___^ My imagination takes me too far. But you asked, and this is the beauty I see.
Oh my! you made me blush! I do write >.<" but i dont really express my views, thoughts and emotions when it comes to admiring art. Like the "story" in my head!! XD
^-^ Maybe not "hurt" his feeling, but didnt show the world how beautiful he could be if they looked at him differently like the other fishies..
AWWWW! i love the blue bouncy faces and the the Thank You....Adorable!
Well, am glad, you enjoyed my story -.- Tee hee. ^_^
You have the biggest imagination and best observational skills I have ever met. Definitely one of the kindest people on da. ^^ I admire your ability to look at art (which might not even be that great) with such meticulous attention.
